you pay $100 a month for one year. that is a total of $1,200. In return they will pay up to $36,000 for your education after you get out of the military or while you are in(if necesary). they will explain it in basic and you will sign up for it there. i go to a tech school and get a monthly payment for it and most of it goes in my pocket and i buy beer with it because my school is so cheap.lol

You pay $100 a month out of your paycheck for your first year in the Army. When you get out of the Army and are enrolled in school (you must be enrolled) the GI bill pays you based on if you are a part time or full time student. In order to receive your check you must call in once a month to verify you are still enrolled in school. As a full time student (currently, the rates may change by the time you collect) you get $1300 a month, it is definately worth it. Oh, and you can collect it for a total of 3 years. Any specific questions? Feel free to email me, Im currently collecting my GI bill
