How is the $30,000 Army College Fund kicker going to work now that there is the New Post 9-11 MGIB?
I opted for the Army College Fund kicker before there was this new post 9-11 Montgomery GI Bill in exchange for a smaller sign on bonus. Can anyone help me understand how I would use it now? I searched and searched and found no such information on how it will work now. Please don't just send me a link to ANOTHER website. I really need to hear from someone who actually knows. Please don't just send a link to ANOTHER website! Dean...you must be confused. Obviously you won't have to sit down and REALLY think about which one is more beneficial. It's pretty obvious the MGIB is the way to go. The ACF is just a KICKER as I mentioned earlier. So it would be ridiculous to even fathom choosing that. So... therefore you're undoubtedly wrong.

Basically, with the introduction of the post 9/11 GI bill, you will have to choose which one you want to use. It is one or the other, so you have to sit down, look at the cost of the schools you want to go to and determine which one is more beneficial. I had to sit through many classes on the new GI bill.

What is my Montgomery Ward Sewing machine worth?
We are moving out of the area and right now we are deciding what is worth taking. What we really want to know is what out sewing machine is worth. its a signature j 285c made by montgomery ward. good luck finding it anywhere online, i have looked. i don't know anything about them. It is an in the table model in really nice condition. the light and motor both work great. the belt is missing off of the motor but the needle does move manually.

Does anyone know how to get your hair like Elizabeth Montgomery in Bewitched?
In bewitched, Elizabeth Montgomery has hair which kind of 'sticks' out from head. I was wondering if I could do a similar thing with my hair. My hair is nothing like hers, but it could work. My hair is quite long and brown and curly. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Im enlisting this december under the DEP in the USMC. The community college I am attending is only $1500 a semster so its not a big deal financially. After my 4 years are up in the Marines, I will be 24. I really want to get my B.S Degree either in Criminal Justice or maybe a new carrer oppurtunity. Does the GI Bill really pay for all of the tuition? Is the GI Bill really legit. My recruiter said it can pay up to $80,000? Is this true? Thanks for you time and information Semper Fi, Jared

Chapter 30 MGIB will not be going away, and it still has some benefits worth considering if you're not going to attend university. Check out 38 U.S. Code 33 for the lowdown on the new G.I. Bill. If you can't find it online, check out the Library of Congress web site and research H.R. 2642 or Public Law 10-252. Depending on where you go to school, the maximum benefits under the new G.I. Bill can approach $80K. Maximum in-state tuition, a housing stipend equivalent to BAH at the E-5 rate with dependents (providing you're not on active duty, are attending an actual brick & mortar school, and are carrying more than half-time credits, annual book stipend, etc.

The Montgomery Bus boycott was a deliberate setup done to bring about change. What I mean is that it was planned beforehand that Rosa Parks would not give up her seat - she didn't just 'snap'. 1. Using a woman would bring about more sympathy in people than a man. 2. It showed the country that blacks were willing to boycott the buses rather than put up with the treatment they were receiving by being forced to be treated as second class. 3. Loss of income to the bus company. The policies they (and society) had in place were directly hitting them in the hip pocket. ANY company would stand up and take notice and attempt to fix the problem if they could. By refusing to use the busses at ALL until this was sorted out (as opposed to organizing a limited boycott) assured that something PERMANENT and satisfactory had to be done (ie. long term and not a 'token' gesture) 4. It brought together black people (who were considered a minority) and showed them that with a little hardship they DID have a voice and they COULD accomplish change if they put their collective minds to it. Whereas before this, I guess the mentality must have been "my voice is small and it makes no difference what I would do." Just some to get you started off :) let me know if you need more. Is there a website for Jogging or Running tracks available to the public in PA?
Specifically, I'm looking for a non-school 1/4 mile running track that I can use after work. Something around Montgomery County would be perfect or a website with jogging tracks listed for PA.

As far as I know, a website with locations of 400m tracks does not exist anywhere in the world. If you want to find a 400m track that is not located on school property, check to see if there is a YMCA, YWCA, recreation center, etc. with a track. I would say that over 95% of 400m track in the US are located on school properties, so finding one not on school property will be difficult. Is there any reason why you want to find one that is not on school property? If you are concerned about getting in trouble for using the track, why not just call the schools and ask if the tracks are open to the public. I do know many, many tracks where I live that are open to the public, and anyone can use them whenever they want. One exception is that these track are on public school properties.

There are several reasons not to want to use a school track, including the fact that teams are using it most of the time, and that would prevent you from doing your workout. The only other place that would have a track besides a school or a fitness center, would be a horse track. I dont know of a place in PA, but there is an old horse track in DE that is still relatively clean. If you could find that around you, that would be clutch. If you can't find a track, get a bike with a cyclometer on it. If you can measure out a 1/4 mile loop within a neighborhood, that would be perfect (sidewalks are always open). You can rent a bike from a local bike-shop most likely, if you dont have a bike or a friend with a bike.

I work in Montgomery Al and My job recently transferred me to birmingham And I can't afford to commute back and forth.... so is there a clause to break my lease? To move to Birmingham.

No, there is not, unless (for some odd reason) your lease would contain such an agreement. Your option is to contact your landlord to see what sort of financial penalty will be imposed for early termination. If the landlord won't offer one, then you owe the rents until the property is re-rented to the satisfaction of the landlord.

It may not be written in the lease but I would go talk to the manager or landlord and let them know, and if you have proof usually they will let you pay a cancellation fee and get out of it, thats what happened when my husband was transferred out of state and all we had to do was show proof and then pay one months rent for a cancellation of the lease, but that depends on the manager or landlord.

There most likely is mention of breaking the contract, but nothing about breaking it for a good reason. You're going to have to pay some amount of money to get out of the lease.
